Leda ESC believes that learning mathematics provides students with essential mathematical skills and knowledge which creates opportunities for, and enriches the lives of, all Australians. Our mathematics programs develop numeracy capabilities that all students will need in their personal, work and civic life.
The study of English is central to the learning and development of all young Australians.
The Key Word Signs Language Program uses a structured approach to teach language and literacy skills, through instruction involving a combination of speech, signs, and graphic symbols used concurrently. It is a key word signing system that aims to provide a basic means of communication and encourage language development.
Leda ESC strongly believes in the adoption of healthy lifestyles and making healthy life choices and as such our students participate in an integrated sports program with Leda PS as well as school sports days, interschool sports and swimming carnivals.
Students regularly integrate with their mainstream peers to participate in music activities, engage socially and practise communication and interpersonal skills.
Through The Arts, we believe that children develop creative ways of expressing themselves and communicating with others. Leda ESC students are encouraged to imaginatively explore, express and communicate ideas, feelings and experiences.
