Schools Alive Choir
Schools Alive Choir
The choir is made up of student representatives from a range of Education Support Centres including Leda, Endeavour, Koorana, Rockingham Beach and Riverside.
Students practise each week and perform several times throughout the year at schools as well as a range of public functions.
Benefits:
- Children discover how to listen carefully - they have to listen so that their voice blends with other singers
- Children get to work on their social skills - children attending the Schools Alive Choir have similar interests, boosting each child's sense of belonging.
- Our students get to travel with the choir - travelling to and from practise and events provides further opportunities for our students to connect with their peers.
- Anxiety is reduced - children feel more comfortable when performing in a group and that comfort can be transferred when presenting in class.
