In 2013 Leda ESC received a donation of $10,000 from the (PEACH foundation) (Personnel Employed at Alcoa Charity Help) funded DIRECTLY from employees working at Alcoa, NOT from Alcoa itself.

The $10,000 donation purchased a range of specialised sensory equipment which directly benefited students by reducing anxiety and promoting appropriate behaviours. The representatives from PEACH were so impressed with the children and the staff when they visited that instead of just funding the $8,500 we requested they added another $1500 toward the purchase of additional ipads!

However, their generosity doesn’t stop there. At the end of 2014 we once again applied to PEACH to help us fund a shade shelter over our playground. Once again PEACH granted us $14,500 to erect a patio. We cannot thank the employees at Alcoa enough for their generosity or the Alcoa Charity Personnel for making this happen.
